Joel Wood – General Manager

Hello all, my name is Joel! First and foremost, I am the proud father of two amazing girls, which explains the gray in my beard. I am originally from Birmingham, AL, moving to the Lake Norman area about 20 years ago, to attend college in Charlotte, NC. During college, I took a job in retail, never looking back. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of leading teams, in several different capacities. 

Coming from a family of car enthusiasts, my passion for cars started at an early age. Whether it was attending car shows, collecting toy cars, or just being around my Dad and Grandfather talking about cars,they have been a constant in my life as long as I can remember. Having the opportunity to fuel my passion for cars and provide customer service to other enthusiasts, the decision to join Champion in 2022 was an easy one to make.
